Amazon came to Manifold with a specific request—help to rebrand and elevate their annual internal Upshift Live conference experience for 300 attendees and their plus ones for a two and a half day event in the sunny coastal town of Carlsbad, CA.
Previous years' visual identities had been designed but needed an update, as well as a total revamp on activations and event flow. Working as lead designer, I undertook a few rounds of exploration for the RFP process to craft a visual identity that felt like it encompassed Amazonian ideals while still nodding back to previous event's through color and shared design principles. Branding was then applied to signage and all other printed and digital materials as well as fabricated builds for the entry moment, The Yard and general session.
Together, Amazon and Manifold created a well-thought out and executed event full of good vibes and good food, a general session with adjoining breakout rooms and an immersive yard experience.
